The second Placing Sense project: PS2 is a web-based exhibition of site-specific artworks and an environmental sculpture workshop/seminar.

PS2 Picnic-presentation and a performance by Karin Anderssen on Saturday 7th July from 3pm- at Skansen Gudmunsson Skanssenvägen 11 282 92 Tyringe Skåne Sweden

The PS2 workshop/seminar is held in Skansen Gudmundsson house in Skåne, Sweden from the 2nd till 9th of July 2007.

In Placing Sense 2 the artists are invited to make proposals for site-specific artworks based on the documentation of a site/place near the Skansen Gudmunsson. The artworks will not be realized on the actual location but will be presented as montages, sketches or texts on the PS2 web site. The results of the workshop will be presented to the public on the 7th of July. The picnic-presentation will be concluded with a party.

The documentation of the locations consist of photographs. The locations are selected by Arni Gudmundsson who is also participating in PS2. The given material serves as a reference to an existing place and creates a possibility for the artists to make a virtual journey to the location. Some of the artists have visited the documented sites in person. The others have to rely on the given documentation and have to use their imagination to fill in the gaps which the documentation leaves, making the starting point for their work a sum of facts and fiction.

The artists who will participate in person in the workshop will make a picnic-presentation for the public on the sites which were the starting point for their artwork in Skåne.

Placing Sense 2 is organized by KUTEN association for promoting visual culture in collaboration with ID:I.
