The idea for Forget -Me-Not reflector was born as we were pondering how to get other people to use a reflector too. Forget -Me-Not is designed for a user who cares about the safety of others as well. The concept is that when required you could divide your own reflector to two or more parts and give them to friends who don't yet have a reflector. With a Forget-Me-Not reflector everyone can make sure that their friends have a safe and visible journey home as well.

The idea in Forget-Me-Not reflector is to distribute sticker like reflectors to the needy and keep the "mother reflector" as a lifesaving memento. In other words with this reflector you can distribute safety to friends. Every Forget-me-Not contains reflectors for five.

Function and use:

The Forget-Me-Not -reflector is composed of five parts: the "mother reflector" and four sticker reflectors. Forget-Me-Not -reflector is attached to clothes by a string and a safety pin which are fixed to the "mother reflector". There are two smaller sticker reflectors on both sides of the "mother reflector" which can be detached from the "mother reflector" and given to anybody who does not yet have a reflector. Due to the adhesive surface the sticker reflectors can be attached to many different surfaces. The pattern of the reflector is designed so that each of the parts have a different kind of printed pattern. Together the parts form a visual entity which changes as the parts are distributed to friends. When all four sticker reflectors are distributed the user is left with the "mother reflector" as a memento.

Only thirty percent of the Finnish people use reflectors, For get me not -reflector gives a possibility to share your reflector with your friends. The suggestion includes a social message and an idea of caring: the idea of sharing the reflector is a fine way to express it. The fastening of the reflectors needs more developing.
